Back to the Roots
"Elisa has always come up with wonderful ideas, sometimes quite out of the ordinary, but she always takes the time to reassure, explain, and listen to what I like (and don’t like) about the scheme. The end result of every room has been better than I could ever have hoped for, and her project management made everything so much more achievable for me. I trust her completely, both in terms of her creative ideas and her coming and going in the house, whether I’m there or not."
After spending a few years living in the States, our clients returned to the UK for good. Their brief was to make their first home in Harrogate practical and efficient for their busy lifestyles, while still creating a warm and welcoming space for hosting family and friends.
Much like our clients, the design scheme was fun, charming, and made with entertaining in mind. Originally built in the late 1900s, the house needed some thoughtful updates to make it fit for modern-day living. Our initial focus was on extending the upstairs area by combining three smaller rooms into one generous space to create a comfortable master en-suite.
With limited natural light in certain areas, we embraced the natural moodiness of some rooms, using colour, fabrics, and texture to add warmth and brighten up others. Prioritising flow and function, we introduced bespoke built-in wardrobes, bookcases, and cabinetry, all while ensuring the overall feel remained relaxed and comfortable.
Drawing on our clients’ eclectic personalities, we complemented the vibrant colours with textured elements, allowing their individuality to shine through in each and every room.
